A native of Greenwich, CT and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Eddie began his career working in television, first as a food editor on Martha Stewart Living and later as Associate Design Director for all in-house production at Food Network.
After a two-year stint running his own catering company, where he continued to refine his skills in decorating and entertaining, Eddie made the move to publishing. As Associate Decorating Editor at House Beautiful, he produced the popular “Weekend Shopper,” a monthly article in which he’d travel to flea markets around the country, giving new life to old things.
As the Senior Style Editor of Martha Stewart Living , Eddie continued to inspire readers with clever ways of integrating vintage furniture and objects into clean, classic design. From decorating and entertaining to food styling and flowers, Eddie produced consistently elegant stories that related to a variety of people’s tastes and budgets.
In 2008, after an appearance on season two of Bravo's Top Design, Eddie left the publishing world to start a lifestyle company, along with partner Jaithan Kochar, a graduate of Stanford University and the Rhode Island School of Design. Based in upstate New York, Eddie Ross, Inc. offers interior design and styling services, event production, and an online boutique for vintage tabletop and giftware. Together, Eddie and Jaithan also produce a daily blog at eddieross.com with inspirational tips and information on how to decorate and entertain both beautifully and affordably.
In October 2009, Eddie appeared on the HGTV special Halloween Block Party in which he transformed the classic tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, into a beautiful, budget-friendly party. Shortly thereafter, he appeared on Celebrity Holiday Homes, another HGTV special in which he decorated Kathie Lee Gifford's house for the holidays.

Oh for Pete's sake. No sooner had I boxed up misc. this's n that's for a yard sale this spring did I had to rifle through them and pull half the stuff back out again. This due to reading your blog (beginning to end, yes every thing) and seeing all of your beautiful photos of all things beautiful and pretty. The rest of the items stay in the box. I have amassed an extensive Prop closet which I use for entertaining and 'free' redecorating as whimsy dictates.."Gee, if only I had an apple green vase about eight inches square with a slight flare at the top..Wait! I have that" I picked it up an the Salvation Army.
They call it the Salvation Army you see because it rests only 2 blocks away from where we live. I haunt the place as well as each and every other resale shop 'round these parts. Children in tow we make the pilgrimage and are victorious on some level at every turn. It is with that feeling of finding a great find that I've decided not to have a yard sale at all. But will instead donate those items which remain in the box's right back to the Salvation Army in the hopes that some other young mom trying to make a special and pretty home on a shoestring will unearth a treasure and giggle inside at her luck and feel the whole trip including the kids was worth it. You inspire and that's priceless

Hi darlin!
I do not normally watch a lot of TV, but a friend got me started on watching Top Design (since I have been an artist/decorator for over 30 years now)...anyway...I must say you have been a blast to watch! Love what you can do when just about "anything" is thrown at you and love the "attitude"! :)
If you are ever in Houston....let's "do lunch"! :)
Have a great week and look forward to seeing more of your work and how you do on Top Design...I'm pulling for ya!
