How much fun was the Blogging Show on MARTHA this morning? Jaithan and I were so excited to be part of it!

Before the show started, we got to snap a few pictures of the set. There’s so much work that goes into producing something like this. It’s crazy and very exciting! Here’s Jaithan before the audience arrived.

These fall dahlias in an earthenware pot I thought were beautiful.

Martha’s kitchen (the one I wish I had) is full of all her beautiful things from Macy’s.

Here I am in the studio greenhouse. It’s a little patch of nature in the middle of New York City! Don’t you just love the magic of television?

While Jaithan waters the plants…

The Queen of All Media and fellow-blogger Perez Hilton was in the green room doing what he does best!

Back on set, here are the vintage earrings I picked up at the flea market before turning them into magnets. It’s such a simple craft project. All it takes is a strong magnet and a hot glue gun.

Check out the final results! How easy is that? And so pretty.

Magnets8

Here I am behind the craft table while final preparations for the show are made.

I love collecting old postcards from flea markets, and I’m always finding new ways to use them. I thought this Thanksgiving turkey one was so cute, don’t you? During the show, Martha loved it!

Another simple project for the holidays is to enlarge old postcards on a copy machine, then use them either to wrap gifts or to make vases out of everyday tin cans.

Here are the old postcards enlarged and turned into wrapping paper. Even though they’re vintage cards from flea markets, I think the wrapping looks graphic and very modern, don’t you? Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know.

And the vases too make such an inexpensive and thoughtful gift, especially filled with a beautiful arrangement of early fall dahlias.

Here I am with Martha just after our segment while Jaithan was in the audience taking pictures and blogging LIVE!

And finally, here’s the three of us just after the show. So much fun!

Martha and everyone at the show could not have been nicer, but I guess it helps that I’ve been working with her for years now. She’s been so supportive through it all, and even let me take a leave of absence to film Top Design on Bravo. Speaking of, it’s almost 10pm, and you know what that means! Time to Watch What Happens!
