Tonight’s episode marks the end of one chapter in my life and, together with you, the beginning of a new and brighter one. To those who watched what happened, week after week, congratulating me when I won or rallying with me when I didn’t—from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your kind words of encouragement (not to mention your sense of humor!) helped me weather the strange, wonderful and often unreal world of Reality TV.
While I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity to be a part of such a popular show, and in particular to Margaret Russell for standing by me the way she did, watching myself over the last few weeks, or rather, the character the producers created, I’m reminded of how fictional reality television can be at times. Case in point: In my recent run-in with Jonathan over the stylist comment in which I asked him how he’d feel about being called an elf, we never saw that he had actually said to me first, “Well, I could call you a pig if I wanted to!” In the editing, that part, the other Elves omitted. Convenient, don’t you think?
And while we’re on the subject, the fact is: I really can do a number of different things. I can cook, craft, garden, do flowers, decorate and entertain, thanks in large part to Martha Stewart. She’s been an inspiration for me (and countless others) for fifteen years, ever since I started reading her magazine as a high schooler with a side gig arranging crudité. She too got her start in catering, then built a company based on a very simple principle: Give people information that would help them live better lives. She inspired a generation to care more deeply about what it means to keep a home. And if I can play a part in that effort for a younger generation, helping them to cook, decorate and entertain not only more beautifully, but more affordably, I would be truly honored.
For me, the work I do at Martha, together with the ideas I share here, are so much more real than reality TV. I mean, come on: How many of us have the luxury of designing a room around a $40,000 chandelier? Nevermind, do it in a day and on four hours sleep! I can tell you this: Give me $40 at the flea market here in New York, and I can find (and refurbish!) a chandelier that would be so much more stylish and one-of-a-kind! That’s the kind of design I love—the hands-on, find-it-on-the-cheap and make-it-your-own style I live with everyday. Top Design may be over for me, but the wealth of ideas I plan to share in hopes of helping people cook better meals, throw better parties, decorate more beautifully and entertain more elegantly—all while saving time and money—have only just begun. I hope you’ll join me!

I never watched the show but I love your blog!! You continue to inspire me to make the extra effort when entertaining - even if it's only my immediate family and friends. It's nice to make them feel special!!
You have star quality and I can't wait to see the Eddie empire grow!! Just never stop designing on the cheap please! You'll have your own show soon!!

Oh sweetheart - this is a blessing for you. What is in store for you is sooo much bigger than that show or Bravo - good experience but they would have held you back.
Your talent and pure heart are just starting to give you wings. You are going to rock the world - I can just feel it.
I was having people over last weekend and I actually thought "what would Eddie do here"!!!!

You were the best, like everyone says you can do so much with so little, esp with small budgets. You are an inspiration to all.

Your TD room was beautiful, luxurious, rich, calm... true to you... and inspiring (I may redo our room!). Keep it up.
Was is weird seeing a text message vote during the show commercials about yourself? I guess watching yourself on TV is probably just surreal in general... wow, but a text message poll, that's big stuff. :) Did you vote?

For the record, (although I'm sure it was cleverly edited)I thoroughly enjoyed your "character" on Top Design and will miss you there. You are engaging and hilarious. I must have rewinded the clip from last week a million times just to laugh with you when you cracked yourself up joking that your talents were a "gift from God." You definitely made TD enjoyable to watch, but I feel this blog has truly done your "gift from God" justice. I am forever a fan. Rock on Eddie Ross and keep having fun.

You, my dear friend, are the only reason i watched the show. You are an inspiration and ridiculously talented. You know i think the world of you and can not wait to see what you do next! Come out to visit soon, please. I want to go shopping with you guys. xoxox,K.

I think a mistake was made and yes it was edited for TV ratings. This is just a springboard for a wonderful tastemaker who has lots to share with those of us that appreciate your perspective. We all look forward to you sharing a lot more in the future and helping us style our lives!!!

I can't stop laughing from the "porn star" comment above....HI-larious.
But on a more serious note, I was one of those who watched the show weekly FOR YOU. When you were eliminated last night I told my husband that I'd rather see what you can do with $20 at a flea-market ANY day. What you do is INSPIRED. Not a Crate & Barrel showroom. I love what you do, and I think the way you dress is DARLING. ;) BTW, as much as I love watching the trainwreck that is Flipping Out, Jeff Lewis can stay in Cali with his dogs and lattes. You stay in NY - the center of the universe. :) Anyway, I could go on.... but best of luck to you, and I'm sure you will continue to awe and inspire me.

Eddie,
I read your blog daily & loved your "weekend shopper" articles in House Beautfiul. You've really inspired me to keep on with my interior design business even though I have not beened formally schooled in the subject. My business has grown a lot in the past few months & I'm now able to support my family with it. It's people like you who help people like me keep going & to disregard the constant barrage of negativity from "interior designers" telling newcomers they cannot practice without formal design schooling. Thank you so much & keep on inspiring!
Best,
Lauren

Hi Eddie,
What a pity the judges didn't let you stay to the end. That house would have been so perfectly serene and beautiful!
You possess the greatest of gifts -- the ability to touch people of all ages and styles. That you are so willing to share and give credit to those who have inspired you, particularly Jaithan, your grandparents, Martha, and many others, truly speaks to a generous spirit that's even bigger than your big personality and enormous talent.
Doors will definitely open to great things for you!

You are a prince with bigger and better things ahead of you...here's to your future! xo

SPOILED ... the trials and tribulations of reading blogrolls before watching the TV version!
You were my #1 pick based on overall talent ... and you were a hoot to watch! Can't say I'm enthusiastic with any of the others - that Nathan fellow had had a run of amazing luck, and Preston, though pretty, doesn't seem to be well-rounded at all (I'm convinced that Margaret Russel wench has a big gay boy crush)
Anyway, best of luck with your future endeavors - like you need it! :)

I was on a plane last night so I'm clueless as to what happened. To be honest, I've only seen 1 or 2 episodes. I've become a fan of yours via this blog.
Posted by: Renovation Therapy | October 30, 2008 at 09:49 AM
Eddie, without you Top Design will be one big BORE!! I couldn't help but wonder if Jeff Lewis was on crack with those comments. Your designs are timeless and appropriate for all age groups. Too bad we are not in the same city, it would be great to get together with you and Jaithan for drinks. Continue with your fantastic blog and I can't wait for your books to come out and I am sure you will have your own TV show soon.

I love your style and am so impressed by your work ethic. TV producers will do anything to make "good tv." They needed some drama, so they procured it at your expense, unfortunately.
I share your obsession w/ old sterling and was thrilled to see your spread in Domino and to learn about this website. It's now one of my "Favorites." I scour the Habitat for Humanity store and estate sales weekly to find diamonds in the rough; it's the most satisfying feeling to find a treasure w/ potential!
I look forward to tracking your success!

A true loss for Bravo. Your sense of style touches most of America asa it is obtainable and real. Real people can easily pull from your sense of style and use your ideas at their homes. Bravo evidently does not listen or have a sense of the common man but rather some pie in the sky sense of decorating. Because of you I now go to Bargain shops and can make my home better because of you, I cant so that with the ideas of the Bravo team and in fact wont waste my time anymore watching. Dont they realize this is why we watch tises shows, for ideas, thoughts to make home more beautiful. Evidently and as usually TV networks are not connected with common America. Their loss, our gain, I will always check your Blog before Tv. gina

To one of my dearest friends,
I have to say that I was truly sad last night to see you go. And that fool who was the guest judge (his name is not worthy enough to be typed any where on your blog) obviously has no taste. If you were given the chance to design the whole condo you would have blown thier minds with your creation.
I have been looking at all your comments and it is not a surprise to me to see all the people that truly respect you. I do have one thing over them though...I have known you since day one of both of our lives. :) Your great personality that you brought to the show is only a small part of the great person you truly are. It is so amazing to see a friend accomplish so much and continue to grow. You have come so far with every aspect in your life and I am so proud of you.
I cannot wait to see you next week (it has been too long)...we are going to have a blast!!
Love,
Amy

Eddie - I agree with the last statement you made on last night's Top Design - you are sooooooo much more than Top Design. I see books in your future - lots of books - can't wait! Now get to work!! Nancy
ps - You need your own show, too!

Best of luck with moving your career forward! I am sure that being on the show will be very helpful to you as you move on to bigger and better things.

Eddie,
I have to admit I never watched Top Design (I'm in Quebec), so I know you from your blog....and it's probably a very good thing as it showed me since the beginning a very talented and creative person, very 'real', who can do so many beautiful things....And it's so much more inspiring to us, non-professional, to see someone re-inventing a 40$ chandelier..!! Thank you so much Eddie !

Eddie, I watched the show last night and wanted to go through the t.v. and strangle the house flipper guy...( he's suppose to be so popular..can't remember his name ) What an arrogant S.O.B.! I have to say I felt so much better about Margaret...my faith in her was renewed as she stood up to that idiot..Blechhhhh!!! You are a true talent and I LOVE that you stuck to your guns and did not try to please anyone...You stand for what you believe in and have a distinct style...very inspirational of you!!! I know I speak for everyone...wishing you all the best on your future endeavors!!!

okay, I have never posted a comment on a blog before but I have to say who cares about that stupid show. What you do on this blog and in your personal life is SO inspirational to me personally. I feel like I know you and wish I did. I can honestly say I don't envy people. But you have a life that is enviable and you live life to its fullest and that is what I admire about you.

Hi Eddie, well that's over with. The good thing is you inspired and made me laugh week after week. I found your style wonderful I liked the vests and bow ties so don't change a thing. Some of the outfits the others wore reminded me of an I Love Lucy episode and Tim Burton's Beatle juice all rolled into one "whatever". I look forward to your post every morning and keep doing what you do best. You are a great "Desighner"!!!!!!!!!!!

It all went downhill for me when the judges dissed your floral arrangement a number of episodes ago. When the show ended last night I told my husband - "He's the next Jennifer Hudson." Looking forward to seeing where you're going, Eddie -- a book - your own T.V. show . . . Just continue what you're doing.

I don't get a chance to see Top Design very often, so I really "know you" from your blog. You have inspired me to try new things, collect new items and completely change my Thanksgiving table. Kelly Wearstler, Jonathan Adler...a hand full of "people in the know" and those who shop at Bergdorf's know these names, but who hasn't heard of Martha Stewart? You help people by educating them and showing them how to make what you do possible. Making yourself and your ideas accessible to so many people will put you in the same league as Martha Stewart. You are better than a Top Designer.

The past few weeks with you on Top Design have been inspiring and entertaining and your blog? ...simply put ...a feast for the eyes. I am thrilled you have created this this outlet to share your style (which by the way blows the other designers away) - Your fans are ready to gag Eddie :)- BRING IT ON!

Eddie, I do not get Bravo but just the short time I have gotten to know you and your style, I for one, cannot understand why you would be cut from the show. But I loved everything you said in your blog about it and your positive outlook. You are right and I have always felt this that when a door shuts another one opens and it will be bigger and better!! You are so talented and have so much to give. I have certainly loved your BLOG and have gained so much by getting to know your unique style and inspiration!
Move on and do great things! BRAVO to you, Eddie!

Hey Eddie!
I'm in the UK and haven't seen any of the shows yet. I just happened upon your blog. But you have been an absolute inspiration! I love what you do and how you do it!
I absolutely see you having your own show, and thats without ever having watched Martha's show. I'm not strictly a fan of reality shows and particularly because of this now obvious to the whole world "editing assassination jobs" they do on people's characters.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work. I think for starters an Eddie Ross coffee table book on "Old to New" would be an absolute must! You have certainly opened my eyes up to possibilities...
So keep on walking!

You were my favorite on the show and I'm sorry that you got cut. I love your blog and can't wait to see more creative ideas from you.
Posted by: Paula | October 30, 2008 at 06:23 AM
Eddie - You were my favorite from the start. You have a big personality and incredible talent which makes for a reality television goldmine. After I saw the first episode, I wrote to Andy Cohen to tell him that they had an amazing cast and I was thinking of you in particular. I don't read many blogs on a daily basis but yours has become a bookmarked must-read for me. I want to thank you for having been on the show because without it, I wouldn't have been aware of you even though I have subscribed to Martha's magazine since the inaugural issue. Needless to say, I'm excited to see what your next act brings. *Hugs*

You're too good for that show - you don't need it - everythings going to be just fabulous for you because we all know how smashing you are
Posted by: Violetsrose | October 30, 2008 at 05:10 AM
Eddie Ross, FTW.
Unlike the rest of those slags, you already have your dream job.
I quit watching, because you were the only redeeming part of that show (you & KW's wardrobe).
Posted by: gracie o | October 30, 2008 at 04:31 AM
Eddie, i have come to realize that after two seasons of top design that "pretty is not memorable" and that
crap is considered "creative", oh and that a jar of nails by your bed side table is "provocative", those judges are either, delusional, or having acid flash backs.
you would be the only designer (stylist) that i would ever hire from both seasons.
Posted by: Grace Alexis | October 30, 2008 at 04:09 AM
Quite frankly, thrilled that is o-v-e-r.
Now you can carry on being you and doing what you love.
I know great things are in your stars.

I was really sorry to hear that you were cut from the show! I loved you on it, I don't think many people really got your funny and intelligent sense of humour. I am looking forward to what you do in the future. Whatever it is, I am certain it will be fabulous. Please continue sharing your ideas online so us living abroad (Finland) can follow your success too.

Hey Eddie,
I can't believe you were let go. Who was that idiot guest judge with the collagen lips? Is he even a designer? It was obvious the female judge and host thought you deserved to be in the final. I thought your room was great. I thought you looked great. I love the bow tie with jeans. It's very sophisticated...maybe that's why he didn't get it. You definitely are gifted designer. Looking forward to learning more from you.
P.S. I missed the earlier episodes but I could have sworn I saw an older preview of the show with madame butterfly singing an opera score...He must have been fun:-)

I definitely thought you would win the series, Eddie. I love all of your designs, your wit, and your great attitude about the whole thing. I'm in love with your blog, too. It was sad seeing you go, but whatever: they're just judges, right?
Posted by: Erica | October 30, 2008 at 03:19 AM
'Tis a sad day indeed! What real people want are elegant, sophisticated, impeccable rooms--just like you designed! Notice I used the word design and not style" I strongly disagree with the judges. You are also the most resourceful and clever person I know and incredibly talented! I can only wish in my humble abode! Knowing Martha, I can bet she has already been encouraging you to write a book. Do it!!! We will buy it! All the best in your future endeavors.
Posted by: Laura Lee | October 30, 2008 at 03:00 AM
Eddie, sorry you left the show tonight. I really connected with your rooms and design. I thought Jeff Lewis' comments were rude and uncalled for. I'm sure you'll be a success in whatever you do. I'll be watching for you!
Posted by: Pam | October 30, 2008 at 02:40 AM
Eddie, Thank you so much for being on Top Design. If you had not been on the show, you would not have a fan for life in me. I will continue to read your blog daily, you are truly and inspiration to me.
Posted by: Julie | October 30, 2008 at 02:10 AM
I was definitely sad to see you go! Bummer. Obviously you have a ton of fans now, though. And we all loved you despite all the editing (that we know takes place). Seriously - I know nothing about design and feel that I"m quite uncreative (you should see the mess of a flat that I live in)- but I watched anyway because you are so interesting as a person.
Your room looked amazing and I would be proud to have it in MY home!
Posted by: thursday | October 30, 2008 at 02:02 AM
You were robbed! Eddie, I think you have more talent in your little finger than any of the other contestants - I only watched to see what you would do - your taste is impeccable and through your blog you are truly an inspiration to try new things, make things pretty, and see beauty in the unexpected. Your blog is inspiring and informative - it's just great. And pardon the cattiness, but did you see Jonathan Adler's pied a terre in Met Home - man, that is one ugly condo!!! Seriously - that's good design??? I don't think I will be watching Top Design anymore - you were a bright light in an otherwise rather dull reality show. Keep up your great work and know that your fans love you!!! Hugs to you & Jaithan...

It was very fun watching you on the show, and I am so glad it's allowed you to have the opportunity to reach a much wider, now absolutely captive, audience with your message. I am so excited for what's next!!
Posted by: Stacey Irizarry | October 30, 2008 at 01:34 AM
Eddie - You seriously got robbed. I'd much rather live in any room you designed over anyone elses on that show. And don't listen to Jeff - he's crazy. Have you ever seen his show?!?!
I wish I lived in NY and we were friends and went shopping on Saturday mornings and made fun of people.

I heart you Eddie (and Jeff even though he doesn't share my love for your talent).
P.S. Preston should really be a porn star rather than a designer. :)

eddie, I think this show was only a short page in the book of your life. I see great things in your future as do so many others. You already have a devoted fan base for your talents. I was glad to hear you admit that the personality you had on the show was created by them. "I Knew IT!!!".After reading your blog faithfully, there was no way the person I saw on TV was my sweet , inspirational, Eddie. Keep doing what you do, inspiring, helping, motivating, and just making me and others look forward to each and every blog with a smile on our faces. I will miss seeing you in action but will look forward to reading everything you share. xoxo Kathysue

Eddie: Great show. We cannot figure out how they cut you when Adler said you would have done an impeccable house, wanted to see the final result, and everything you did was first rate. Nathan's room failed as they admit, but they wanted to see more of his work - whats up with that. Makes no sense unless Jeff Lewis (the guy admitting to have no personal life or taste) strong armed the group. You showed great class with your departure and attitude going forward. Well done. Congratulations on a very successful performance and rise to celebrity!

Sadly I do not get Bravo with my cable provider. Happily I read the interview on Coveiter. (I love their blog.) I really like what you had to say over there, so I journeyed to your blog and have to say that I'm liking what I see. I'm sure that you will be successful without winning this competition. Look at Jennifer Hudson, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, the list goes on. There are so many people that have been on reality competition shows that didn't win, yet continued on in even more success than they had set out for. The same will go for you.
Posted by: Tiffany | October 30, 2008 at 12:57 AM
Rock on, Eddie! I would *so* rather see you work your magic on that $40 NYC flea market find anyway. Because that's the kind of style I love, too. :-)

Needless to say you were my favorite by far on Top Design. I really do agree that you are bigger than TD. Your ability to see what other's discards can become and what you make them is amazing. Much much more unique and creative!! You are also so very well rounded in what makes a beautiful life- the whole picture. The what, how, sight, smell, taste, the process. I love your blog and so look forward to what lies ahead for Eddie Ross- it will be fabulous!!!

Well, I'm less than 15 minutes from the time slot I have signed up for at the "ole' folks home" to watch TD. Now I'm so bummed that I don't know if I will even go down and watch it.
I spent all afternoon getting a bunch of the ladies interested in meeting me for an hour of Eddie and now I find out, it's our final hour. Guess I will have to go to see why. Eddie, I'm bummed!

oy! spoiler alert for me! the show isn't airing here in canada so i log on to youtube faithfully every thursday night or friday morning and watch it once it has been uploaded...
having said that, i've yet to see the episode but i can only say that what you share here on your blog is SO inspiring to me (and others) and i for one can't wait to see what is yet to come for you - and the blog (because i need all the tips on silverware and entertaining and thrifting that i can get!)
bravo!
(p.s. i work in television -a lot of reality stuff - and know EXACTLY how editing works...i had no doubt that you had been fully edited to come off like that on the show - anyone would know that after reading your blog!)

Wow. I'm stunned. I loved your room. Loved. It. I don't understand why Jeff was so harsh. In any case, you are a winner, and your sense of style is great. I've only recently discovered your blog, but I look for updates all the time. Good luck in your future endeavors. We can say we knew you when... :-)

Well to say I was disappointed in the judges' decision tonight would be an understatement. It takes all of the excitement out of seeing next week's show. But it looks like they may be bringing you back on, which is intriguing.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm ready for the Eddie Ross Design show. Between your talent, innovation and charisma, now you can give us what we all want more of: Eddie Ross.

Eddie - I loved the room you designed tonight and I too cannot understand the judges' comments - you're perfect so you must go...? I would have loved to see you design that entire house (so now I'll have to cheer on Ondine!) Anyway, I think your blog is fabulous, you have great ideas, great style and an aesthetic shared by many, many people with great taste around the world! I for one will be following you into this new adventure!

I was completely disappointed with the judges' decision tonight. Not having you on next week kills my excitement to see the show. [although it looks like they're bringing you back on]
However; I've said it before and I'll say it again: I'm ready for the Eddie Ross Design Show. It's only a matter of time. Just look at your blog, your talent, your persona. It all adds up to a whole new beginning of what we all love to see and must get more of: Eddie Ross.

On to bigger and better things indeed! You are such an incredible talent and are creating quite the following with this fantastic blog.

Eddie,
You have inspired the artist in me. Thank you.

Eddie, I'm so glad to know about you. You were my favorite person to watch and you are clearly super-diverse.
Here's to your future!

Eddie Ross you have been such an inspiration!!! I so admire your work and I will miss seeing you in action every week, especially after the shot of you in those pink shorts...I have such a man-crush on you!!! I cannot wait to see what you do next, I'm sure it will be amazing!!!

Eddie,
Just wanted to tell you that I have been ADORING your blog and although I'm sorry that the Top Design opportunity is now in your past, I'm thrilled to get more of your "real world" advice here. Just when I was starting to believe that all good design took was loads of cash, you have allowed me to see the beauty in that which is financially attainable. How much better is that?!!
Keep up the fabulous work, please! :)

I am so bummed to read about you getting cut this week! The show hasn't aired yet where I am, so this was a bit of a spoil. Now I am going to be bitter watching it knowing they eliminated you. You were definitely my favorite and I am going to stay true to my word and boycott the rest of the shows!

I don't watch the show, but have been a fan of your blog, and frankly, you are much too good for those staged 'reality' shows. I find your design aesthetic and enthusiasm infectious and inspiring, and you are one of my 'daily reads'. Looking forward to when you host your own Lifestyle show.

Eddie...thank you for such inspiring words. You certainly do give information to help people live better lives. For this you should be very proud. Keep up the good work...I look forward to your blog everyday.

I enjoyed you on the show (even though I knew you were edited to be the character they wanted you to be). I can't believe you were eliminated tonight!
I have been following your blog and look forward to seeing what you will be doing next! Lots of ideas and inspiration...thank you for sharing your passions.... with the rest of us!

Eddie- I'm so sad to see you off of Top Design. But like you said, we haven't seen the last ( or BEST!) of you yet. Your blog is awesome. Keep up the great work!!

I'm on board!
Although I'll miss your snarky fabulousness on tv (even if most if it was probably created in the editing room), I'm really looking forward to following along on your flea market adventures. You've already inspired me to buy my first vintage toast rack to sort mail....and that, my friend, is priceless.
Best wishes!

Dear Eddie,
Congratulations on a job well done!! Do you realize how many hundreds, if not thousands, of designers would scratch out eyeballs to have been a contender? You were chosen - that makes you a winner by virtue of being there. I love your blog. I would like to see you expand your blog while you write a book showcasing all your talents. Remember the blinders and harnesses with which the show held you back will only exists in the limits you place on yourself.

I am going to miss you on this show!
Your birthday was HILLARIOUS!
...and your room was beautiful.

Bravo Eddie! You may be off Top Design but you and your immense talent are definitely going places. Can't wait to see what is next for you. Enjoy the ride and thanks for letting us tag along.

Well, there is no accounting for taste, and that was readily evident tonight with your far too early departure! You have the talent and an adoring audience.
Let us hope that once certain people are ready for bedpans and/or walkers, they'll have a lovely surrounding to while away the time.
Thank you for inspiring me :)

Oh, whoops. Guess I shouldn't check my blog reader before the DVR... Sorry to see you go.

Eddie,
Sending you {{{BIG HUGS}}} buddy! We have followed your tenure on the Top Design show and watched with great anticipation as you delivered consistent, eye catching, & extremely appealing designs! And bravo to you for staying true to yourself in both design & personality!! We're saddened that we won't get to see what you would have done with the entire Top Design house on the finale, but we are ever so pleased to count ourselves among your biggest fans!! Thanks for allowing us to vicariously be a part of your day to day decorating, cooking, entertaining, and treasure hunting adventures! PRESS ON, BLAZE NEW PATHS, LEAD WHERE OTHERS MAY FOLLOW, AND KNOW HOW MUCH WE APPRECIATE & LOVE YOU! Looking forward to all that is to come! With love, Royce Watson

Eddie,
LOVED your room, especially the blue and white wallpaper and those beautiful white lamps you put on the dresser. The judges comments were hard to believe. (I was yelling at my TV!) You are the winner of Top Design in my book! You are a star!
Posted by: Mike D. | October 29, 2008 at 11:13 PM
Well put! Sending all my love, sad to see you go but I know you have just begun...

You have success in spades already. While I'm sure you would do just as well with all high-end finds, I bet your particular style of uncovering hidden gems is going to be just what the economist ordered for a good little bit. Congratulations on trying something new!

Eddie - I would much rather live in a house you designed than one designed by Preston. Your taste and ingenuity are beautiful to look at but more importantly, are geared toward enjoyment, comfort and, well, living. Bravo.

Thanks for the classy response to what must be a really weird situation. I love your blog and can't wait to see what you do next!!!
Posted by: GOP | October 29, 2008 at 11:08 PM
You are the best in our eyes Eddie! It does not seem fair that they can uber-edit 6 weeks worth of footage into hours of airtime to make the show more dramatic and entertaining. Jonathan Adler is the real loser here. He is so over rated and has done NOTHING but regurgitate vintage designs. Talk about a one trick pig. Avedazane to him!
XOOX We love your style and design...can't wait to see more of you in the future.

You said it best: Eddie Ross is bigger than Top Design. The show will absolutely not be the same without you and I look forward to the day when you have your OWN show!
AND having interviewed/chatted with you myself I can vouch for the fact that the show did nothing to showcase your fabulousity!
Here's to the future, Eddie!
