Oh! I grew up in Mamaroneck! My mom used to take me to that very store to shop for fabric; who would have thought I'd miss living in Westchester over NYC for even a minute! Have a wonderful time, and be sure to have someone direct you to Sal's pizzeria if you get hungry!

As all the others here, I would love to join you tonight, but can't make it from the DC area. However, I'll be joining my local Calico Corners in Great Falls, VA, on Saturday for their Quick Makeover Seminar. Should be a lot of fun. The decorating is never over -- it's an ongoing project. Thanks for all of your good ideas and I hope to join you in NYC for one of your fleamarket shopping days. Good luck and much happiness with your new home! Anne

Oh Eddie,
I've been following your career since "Weekend Shopper" at House Beautiful. I was so sad when you left and had no idea you went to MS till...I found you on Top Design and this blog. I don't have a TV but had to watch and learn...I just finished the season on iTunes. Wanted you to know that I'm a big fan and have been for a while,
Shoshana

I also wanted to add that I love your personal style. That vest and bow tie are wonderful and really appreciated by a 1955 gal like me!

I lover your blog and heard that you were on Top Design. I am living in 1955 this year as a project and so will not be able to watch you on this until next year. But, as part of my project I am going to be redoing my home on the cape as if it is indeed 1955. Now, I am not the type to do mod-atomic, but rather a sea-side antique blend with some modern (which of course will be mid-century as that is where I am currently living) I am allowing myself the use of the computer, however, and will be checking back here often.

Congrats! Calico Corners is great -- I especially love their line of Annie Selke fabrics. I just had them recover a Craigslist $30 chair in some of her fabric in fact and they did an amazing job (picture here: http://odietamoblog.blogspot.com/2009/02/tale-of-two-chairs.html )

Don't think I'll make it Eddie! It's a long way from Mississippi...but I do enjoy your blog.
I'm coming to NYC on March 15th for a week and plan to go to the flea market near the Museum of Natural Science!
Can't wait!
I love your new country home!

Sorry I can't be there..no money for the airfare, but I would like some advice on a bricked hearth fireplace and oak mantle. It was built in the 90's and needs a fresh country look. Some suggestions PLEASE! Thanks.
