Jaithan and I are off to Richmond today for a presentation I'm giving this Monday night at the Virginia Historical Society. It's part of R • Home for the Holidays, hosted by Richmond Magazine, and from what I've heard, tickets are going fast!
I'll be speaking for a full hour or so with three easy, inexpensive and beautiful projects to inspire your holiday decor, so if you're in the area, I'd love to meet you! Just be sure to RSVP to (804) 355-0111 ext. 318. See you in Richmond, everyone!

Eddie:
I love the way you did this table. What a great idea to use the pink plaid tablecloth - it looks great. I love the cream bowls filled with the small white pumpkins, nuts and cranberries. Your table ideas really inspire me to think outside of the box. By the way, I love your salts. Patti B.

Hi Eddie,
It was so nice to meet you at the R•Home event this past Monday in Richmond. Your presentation was light, funny, and full of inspiration for the holiday season - thanks!
Visit VA again soon!

Just back from Richmond, which was an absolute blast! Everyone we met was so warm and hospitable!
Chris, great question!
Things I like to have on hand for last-minute dinner parties. Think freezer items prepped when you do have time. Comfort foods like mac and cheese. Grilled vegetable and goat cheese lasagna. Even a meatloaf that's formed so all you have to do is defrost and heat. Then make a big salad, throw a few potatoes in the oven for roasting, crack open the wine and enjoy!

It was a pleasure to meet you and Jaithan. Thanks again for coming down to Richmond.
Since the Q&A was so short, I didn't get a chance to field a question.
I'm always pressed for time, even preparing for a dinner party (cook the kids' dinner beforehand, set the table, start the dinner, get dressed, etc.). What are some of the things that you keep on hand that always save the day when you just don't have the day to prep?
Hope your return trip was full of fall colours and sunshine.
Regards,
Chris

Hi Eddie and Jaithan,
Have a wonderful time! I grew up in VA and went to college in Richmond- you all are going to love it. 'The Fan District' from what I remember is always decorated to the hilt for the holidays!
