Crisscrossing the country, accumulating as we go, it's easy to feel like Sanford and Son with a truck full of junk, driving home.
This week's find? A pair of black glass lamps, picked from the most unlikely place.
Hello, pedestal base. I think I love you. Turn you over and now I know why.WIth a price like this, I love you even more.
Take you home, clean you up, and let her at it. She works wonders, you know, turning garbage into gold. Her work even lit up Lexington with shades so chic it hurts. Add two zeros and you'd fit right in, but once you're done, I'm keeping you all to myself.

The photo of the truck is so unbelievable. How did they arrange those things in that truck? But the most amazing things is that black lamp. It has a very gorgeous design.

I've been "off the blogging" since adjusting to a new job -- what a lovely find to stumble upon! These are AMAZING. I never score at that Sally's...but that doesn't mean I won't keep trying. :-)

Lucky you, the company is still in business today. These may be pre-WW II.

Theme song from Sanford & Son plays in my head every time I schlep something. It is in my blood, no escaping it. What a terrific score on the lamps! PS Jaithan, I received my blue and white linen fabric from Calico. Love it! Thanks for all your help!!!

Ohhhh.... what a couple of treasures. I wish you were in Maine. There is a HUGE, fabulous, amazing sale that occurs semi-annually. Tables, Treasures and More is filled to the brim with greatness. I previewed it last evening, will return later today and then again Sunday when everything is at half price. Wish you were here!

Don't you just luv a bargain. It is such a warm rush like feeling, comes over you. Being able to find, see, and transform something is such a gift. You are in a small numbered crowd that can do that!
Good weekend to you;

I am so in love with those lamps I cannot STAND IT!!!OMG!!!! I know when you turned that lamp over and saw the sticker on the bottom you were a goner for sure. Maybe even before that!!! I am certain you already have a shade in mind. Can't wait until your friend @ Shandell's is done with them. And what finial?? I have a weakness for finials and make myself CRAZY procuring just the RIGHT one for whatever lamp I am obsessing over at the moment. Great score!! I bow to you, Eddie. You are the ultimate junker!!!

This is why I will never be able to have a small, sporty car! I must have room for all the treasures I find in my journeys. Thus, I am certain to have a SUV for eternity.
Great find guys.

Beautiful! I scored a pair of the most beautiful and peculiar shade of lavender Italian Glass Lamps with the matching (perfectly intact) silk shades to match. Paid more than I wanted to but @ 250 and after seeing the price of these lamps on 1st Dibs,I could not pass them up! May sell them...just like looking @ them for now though.
