We're heading to Charlotte for the Metrolina in November, one of the biggest flea markets of the year, and we'd love to see you!

The holidays may still be months away, but by then, we're all going to have entertaining on the mind! For unusual serving pieces with plenty of character, there's nothing better than the flea market. Take this English samovar in a pretty pumpkin shape I found at Kane County in Chicago.

It was a good, heavy piece, I told the group, perfect on a sideboard for coffee, tea or hot cider from Halloween all the way through December.

This old carving set from the 20s I loved, as did blogger and store owner Debra Phillips, especially for just 15 bucks! Here's what else she had to say about the trip: As a professional antique dealer, I thought the flea market excursion with Eddie and Jaithan would provide new insights and an afternoon of fun. Little did I know it would change my outlook on antiquing forever! The infectious Eddie Ross taught us how to hunt and really "look" for objects not only as they are but for the potential they hold. Truly a must for anyone with a passion for vintage, repurposing and collecting, all within the framework of great design.

We're doing two shopping trips on Friday, November 5th at 11 am and 2 pm, then another on Saturday the 6th at 11 am. Space is limited, so email Jaithan (jaithan@eddieross.com) for reservations. Hope to see you in Charlotte, everyone!
