Despite our three sold-out trips to the Metrolina in Charlotte this month...
...where Jaithan and I had the great pleasure of shopping with readers like Megan from Pink to Green, Diana from Please Sir, Laura from Laura Casey Interiors, Caroline from Designing for the Soul, Holly from Holly Goes Lightly, Linda and company at LGB Interiors, Nester from Nesting Place, Melissa from The World More Beautiful, Eileen from A Creative Day, Liz and the crew at Dovecote Decor and Wanda from Interior Concepts By Wanda...
...I still managed to find a treasure or two of my own.
This porcelain French basket fit in perfectly on the Thanksgiving table we created with our good friend Phoebe Howard for an event at her gorgeous store in Charlotte.
Phoebe's brown transferware plates, together with the mix of pink and white roses, hydrangeas and hypericum berries from the flower market, inspired the untraditional palette. The place cards I made from vintage Thanksgiving postcards like these from the Metrolina.
A midnight trip to a FedEx Office for color copies, quickly followed by a 2 am glitter fest for more sparkle and voilà!
The miniature pumpkins I spray-painted white, then filled them with flowers going down the table.
For a more autumnal feel, I tied monogrammed napkins from Mrs. Howard with twine, then adorned each with glittered acorns and oak leaves.
This pressed glass candy dish I brought especially from home. How pretty would it be for Thanksgiving filled with fresh cranberry sauce?
And speaking of Thanksgiving, ours are in order. First, thank you to our longtime friend and mentor Phoebe Howard, Lane Moss and everyone at the Charlotte store for hosting us so beautifully.
And thank you to all of our readers who shopped the Metrolina with us and attended the event at Mrs. Howard, including bloggers Amanda from Casa Brasi, Bryn from Bryn Alexandra, Rashon from Mr. Goodwill Hunting, Gretchen from Gretchen Opgenorth and Sarah from Matters of Style.
Finally, Happy Thanksgiving to you, everyone, and thank you, as always, for reading and supporting us!

Loved having you here in Charlotte! The Mrs. Howard event was spectacular! I blogged about the gorgeous setting and all your great tips too. http://carolinesimas.blogspot.com/2010/11/fun-girlfriend-night.html
Hope you and Jaithan had a great Thanksgiving and I wish you a very Merry Christmas. Hope to see you in NYC next May!

Dear Eddie,
As always your table top is so spot on! A refreshing departure from the golds and rusts, the pink, chocolate and white accents are so fantastic-of course you are such a master of the accessory from the crystal turkeys to the retro place cards--simply gorgeous! So wish I could have been there-all the best, barbara

Dear Eddie and Jaithan! I want to say thank you for sharing your creativiy step by step.
