'Tis the time for ghosts and goblins, for tricks and treats of a sordid sort. Scare up a few basics (paper, scissors, paint) to create these Halloween crafts, some of them new, some of them old, but all of them sure to rouse the soul.

E + J - the votive fence display is too clever! Wonderful ideas.
My husband put a pinapple top of Son H's carved pumpkin tonight - a very attractive hairstyle. Sadly, Son H didn't like it one bit.
Mr. Eddie..just in case you forgot..I wanted to remind you how incredibly talented you are. I just sit and marvel at all of the things that come out of your brain. Seriously!
I happen to have some black construction paper and a new sharp pair of scissors....eddie scissor hands! :)
My daughter has "colonial day" and I wish you were here to help me dress her....

Eddie, since you are the master of all things wonderful and vintage... do you have any great suggestions on where to find estate jewelry, particularly engagement rings? I find myself in the market for some bling... and am hoping to find something truly unique... any suggestions? or even suggestions that aren't vintage?
Super cute! My favorite... the votive fence scene bags - very nice!
Thanks for the nice comment on my blog today - what a nice surprise ;)
Happy Halloween! Wish I lived nearby - I bet your house it the best to trick or treat at!
I am LUVING the spider web placemat and bat napkin ring projects!!! And yes, they've already been added to my Halloween page on Pinterest. ;) http://pinterest.com/mandeescandee/halloween/
The question of the day...I know from time to time you guys do speaking engagements, etc. Anything on the docket for the week after Thanksgiving?! I'm going to be in Rye and I'd LOVE to meet you! XO
Gosh I could have sworn I commented, maybe it was late at night though! Adore these fun, fun projects!!
I will be out of commission about a month with a hip replacement surgery scheduled next week, so keep me in your thoughts. I will be good as new and then back for the Holidays!
Projects I can actually manage without a day full of shopping at the craft store! Love that paper is the main ingredient--we can just recycle them when the party is done.
Love those ideas! My boys were just asking about Halloween directions so I think I need to get out the paper and scissors so we can get going!! So excited that I'll hopefully see you two in High Point. xoxo!
The projects look like fun to decorate our porch for the holiday. Unfortunately we don't get any ghosts or goblins visiting our home trick or treating we're to far out in the country.
Just so brilliant!!! I love that you create something that I haven't even thought of...then, I realize I've been missing it. Congratulations on another BOO-tiful feature in Woman's Day!!!!
Miss ya'll! Coming this way any time soon?!
xoxo Elizabeth
I love the simplicity of a paper bag votive... my Mom used to put them out Christmas Eve.
The fence scene is great! I think I'll use that idea on the 31st.
Thanks!
Love it, especially since none of the cute crafts require purchasing a lot of plastic or foam. Simple paper crafts are always the best and so much fun to make. My mother is a paper fanatic and half of her garage is devoted to her craft. She makes cards, memory books and loves to decoupage her own diary pages. Hope you and Jaithan have a spooky and fun Halloween! xx Danielle
Hello hello!
So sorry for my extended absence. The move to Sweden knocked me back a little but we are now well and truly settled. And very happy too! :)
I love coming here Eddie. It's always such a treat, and today's post is so much fun. I love the bat 'napkin rings' - what a fun idea!
Hope all is well and that you and J are enjoying Autumn in your beautiful house. I bet you too feel all settled by now.
Thinking of you and sending hugs all the way from Sweden.
Now those treat bags are to cute! I could see making them for my daughters to give to friends. Since they are to old for trick or treating. We tend to have a large group of girls hanging out at our house.
So many cute ideas for Halloween! I need to get my rear in gear and do some decorating. I love the spiderweb placemats and bat napkin rings...very clever as always!
Awww, Eddie! I'm embarrassed to say I didn't read who produced these darling designs when I got my FC in the mail. I should've known it was you! Love them all and will bookmark them for next year :D
I love those little treat bags - great idea! I will be carving my pumpkin tonight, and may attempt the votive fence scene while I'm at it. Thanks for the inspiration!
