I Love that 2nd photo...reminds me of my childhood because my mom would always cut some of those and put them in tall vases around the home for decoration. I have found myself wanting to decorate with them now and had my boyfriend cut some for me recently only to hold them and think "Eew, imagine how many little bugs are in these" and left them behind LOL Will have to just shake them off next time and bring some home. Your trip looks so wonderful. Hope you had a blast in the sun :-)

Totally wish I could have joined you, but at my current state being almost 9 months pregnant I'm not sure they would have allowed me on the plane. Anyway hope you both have a great time and find some awesome stuff! xx Danielle

Ah, I so wish I was somewhere sunny and warm! The weather in Zurich has been quite chilly and grey.
The photos are lovely! The one with the fountain is simply gorgeous.

Palm Springs is so rat pack architecturally, and geologically surreal. It is an alternate reality. You should visit Pasadena and see the Huntington Gardens, its my fave.
Best,

Succulents, thrifing and a hammock? I'd only add a margarita and call it done. :) Hope it was great R&R...

Good for you...relax and enjoy!!

Dear E & J.
Enjoy the sunshine! I remember going down to Palm Springs as a child to visit my Grandmother. I feel very old saying this but 'when I was a kid' Palm Springs was a ghost town! I can only imagine how much it's changed - it sounds like a wonderful retreat.

Ah, lovely PS, one
of my favorite places!
We usually join my
parents over spring
break and for the last
two years, my hubby
and I have gone in
November, but this
year it didn't come
together {boo!}. I'd
love to know which thrift
stores you haunt, there.
Besides the ones in
Rancho Mirage, we haven't
found a whole lot ~ and
I KNOW there must be
many treasures to be
discovered, there! Thanks
for the virtual visit!
Happy Monday,
xx Suzanne

It is so funny to me how the grass is always greener...as a San Diego resident (and a skier) I was envying your early drop of snow. Hope you had fun in the sun!
Posted by: Diane | November 07, 2011 at 07:13 PM
beautiful pics, wish I was there too..
hope you are one of the fortunate that
has electricity...the early snow storm
has left many in your area without power, so I hear...
best to you and Jaithan...

Gorgeous but sure rub it in while I sit back here on the east coast on a snowdrift!

There is nothing finer than traveling to a new environ and to travel to a new season.
I do adore the snow but oh to travel to a sunny spot just warms me up right away.
An escape seems to always refresh~
