After meeting so many fun, new friends on our recent shopping trips in New York, then again in Atlanta, we're heading to sunny Southern California for a special one-day trip to the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, voted one of the ten best in the world by the Travel Channel and one of my personal favorites!

I flew from Seattle to go to the Rose Bowl Flea market yesterday and found the most incredibly fun stuff .... now how to get it all on the plane home ;)

Eddie, Just a note - there's a nice Antiques Flea Market just outside of Lambertville, NJ which is/has been a destination for New Yorkers for years called the Golden Nugget. Close to New Hope, in Bucks County, which is good for a getaway with B&B's and a real bevy of fab restaurants in both Lambertville and New Hope. Lambertville has even more antique stores in town. Try the People's Store on your next trip. 3 stories of vendors.

Eddie and Jaithan, please make a calendar of the cities you will be stopping in for the flea markets. If I had known in advance I would have tried to make it to Atlanta. It would be nice to know if you come close to Cincinnati in the near future. Even Cleveland would do!!!

Hi Eddie! I'm so excited about coming to Atlanta on January 10th with my friend Rhoda from Southern Hospitality to "flea market" with you! Please stop by my blog if you get a chance at www.gracioussouthernliving.blogspot.com
See you on the 10th!

Eddie,
I can't figure out how to get in touch with you privately (don't want to blog and want to say hi on my own). I knew you way back when in catering in Greenwich (will only give my first name...Sue M). Lisa B. just saw you on Martha Stewart. want to share a giggle. get in touch with me!

PLEASE PLEASE COME TO NC! I will drive to Charlotte as it is closer than Atlanta.
The Metrolina brags hosting an antique show every month. I have never been because I have no clue when it comes to antiques. But, I would pay for a tour there hands down!
Think about it;)

LOVE, Love, love Scott's! I'll be there, but not on the tour. :( I'm looking for some dining room chairs...
Hope you enjoy your trip to the sunny South!

Eddie, check out Metrolina Expo outside of Charlotte. It's a really big one that draws a lot of people.

Add the Adirondack's to your next shopping trip. Upstate New York is an antique stomping ground for unique county & cottage furniture....plenty of primitives antiques here will make you trip worth an exciting one.
PS Bring your ski's...

I just might plan a work trip to Atlanta that accidentally coincides with your shopping trip. The bosses don't have to know about my alterior motives.

Hi Eddie. You must include the Brooklyn Flea on your flea market trip--we have the best stuff in town! We also have an awesome holiday gift market at a Masonic Temple across the street. Every Sunday in Fort Greene, we'll welcome you with open arms.

Hey Eddie,
Let me know if you plan a trip back to Cold Spring. It would be my guess that the local Chamber of Commerce would make much of your visit. I remember renting a riverfront house to you and Alex Heatly a couple summers past. I was thrilled when you mentioned your time here on the Design show. I was rooting for you Eddie!

Hi Eddie,
Loved Top Design although I must admit I love your blog even more! By the way, what color white did you paint that pretty china cabinet that you made over? I'm sure its Martha Stewart paint, but if not, please advise. My favorite is Martha's French Bulldog Black. I paint everything with it! Trying to plan a trip to Atlanta, maybe we will see you there! Thanks for the inspiring pictures and ideas!

This would be a great idea for a show. I loved your before's and after's.
I don't know if Top Design edited you a certain way, but you came off as pretty mean and haughty. if that isn't how you are - I hope your true personality shows itself through this blog/future tv appearances

Hey Eddie and Jaithan, Ever thought of a San Francisco Flea Market Trip, hint, hint.
Posted by: Julie | November 21, 2008 at 03:09 PM
Bummer! I won't be in either of those cities anytime soon. Maybe someday you can come visit Chicago? 'Course, I just moved here and have no clue where the good places to shop are anyhow.

I can not make this go around :( But please check out the Brimfield Fair in Brimfield MA for a possible shopping trip with your favorite fans. It's the largest outdoor antique show in New England held three times a year...with over 5,000 dealers.....drool....
